Hidetada Yamagishi

Born June 30, 1973 in Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan. Japanese IFBB professional bodybuilder. Nicknamed "The Dragon" and "The Ultimate Warrior." Height 168 cm (5'6").

Career

He played rugby in his youth and began weight training at Hokkaido Sapporo Asahigaoka High School, then pursued training seriously at Waseda University.

In 2007, he became the first Japanese bodybuilder to compete in Mr. Olympia, and the first Japanese athlete invited to the Arnold Classic — a landmark in Japanese bodybuilding history.

In the 212 division, his wins include the 2015 Tampa Pro, the 2017 Arnold Classic 212, and the Masters Olympia 212, among other world-class results.

Credentials & Philosophy

He holds a degree in sports nutrition science, NSCA-Japan certification, and an acupuncture license. His training philosophy: "All or Nothing — there is no such thing as 'impossible.' Train hard every day, and even harder the next."

He has appeared in magazines such as Weekly Playboy, Tarzan, and Ironman Japan, as well as on television. He now runs Powerhouse Gym Las Vegas together with Iris Kyle.
